Cosmetic Injectables & Dermal Fillers
Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the brows in people 18 to 65 years of age for a short period of time (temporary).
Botox® Cosmetic is administered by a healthcare professional as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles between the brows. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form between the brows.
Radiesse dermal filler is a non-toxic, non-allergic compound composed of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. It is injected into the skin via a minimally invasive surgical procedure. Radiesse reduces the appearance of wrinkles and skin folds around the mouth and nose and may be effective at filling certain forms of scarring.
Juvéderm is an injectable dermal filler gel made from hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that adds both volume and hydration. Juvéderm is used for smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth.
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.
